I am openly associated with a political party, The Progressive Conservative Party of Canada. I am Past President of the UofMPCYA, was volunteer co-ordinator for my riding in the 1995 Manitoba provincial election, and I worked extensively on the federal election of 1993. Although not an active member of the youth wing anymore, the federal youth party has an incredible outreach to the rest of the country.

More presently I worked for the Leader's office while Joe Clark has been leader, in Ottawa. It was fulfilling, exciting and allowed me to gain valuable real life and political exxperience. If it was not for architecture, I would be in the thick of things in Canadian politics. Sadly of course, due to my current state of being overseas, I must put my politics on hold and watch from afar.

I am very serious in my politics, my biggest concern is in helping the renewal of the federal party. I don't preach my politics..that is not the way to keep friends. I believe what I believe, and no one can change my mind on this. I prefer to discuss and debate political viewpoints and ideologies rather then argueabout it with anyone, it is a waste of energy and I do feel that politics is an area of discussion, that unless you are speaking with those not very politically inclined at all, that you will not sway peoples minds. Those who speak and know of politics usually have strong views.

Someday I wish to run for office in my country, call it a duty I feel towards the betterment of my country and its people. I can only hope I can be as good a statesperson as those who have and will come before me.
