Home
Snow has been a member of the family for four years and although sometimes stressful, we have loved every minute of it. We were told she was a year old when we got her from the animal shelter but the vet figured she was no more the six months when we got her. When you look back at pictures you can tell she has filled out and looks a little older now. She is a domestic medium hair cat, black and white with LARGE mutant feet. She has a few too many claws, that, when we have more money will be removed, more or less for her benefit not ours.

She has been a constant source of amusement and everyone is taken with her when they see her. Although a litle skittish and not particularly fond of being handled, I think she loves the attention, and she loves to play.

My whole family has taken to her, animals and humans included. My parents took care of her for five months when I studied abroad and she used to always fly home with me to visit. Now with her trip across the atlantic, she could be earning as many airmiles as I do!!!!

Quarantine has been a stressful experience for all of us, and I think for absolutely no reason. I find it ironic that cat owners who are willing to pay to have their cats flown across the world and then spend the money on quarantine would not be smart enough to vaccinate and take care of their pets against rabies, the prime reason for her being in quarantine. The process is stressful and horrible for the cats, makes the owners miserable and the kennels and government make a killing off of us. Snow is microchipped and can be checked on to make sure she is who she is and that she has had her vaccinations, why should she need to be quarantined. I can understand for an animal which cannot be traced and has no medical history, but anyone who is willing to go through the hassle we have, should be a responsible enough pet owner to take care of their pet.

Oh well, it is over now, and Snow is recovering quickly.
